My friends Peter and Kelly were married this past weekend in Hawaii, and I had the tough job of traveling over to photograph the big day for them – Here is just a quick sneak peek. And huge thank you to my lovely friend Jen for agreeing to come along and shoot with me semi-last minute! :)

Earlier this summer I photographed Susan and Zack’s wedding outside of Corvallis at The Thyme Garden – These two are so adorable, and I loved the setting. It was the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding – it’s out of town a ways, but there was a whole area where guests could set up tents and camp out for the night so they didn’t have to worry about driving the windy highway back to civilization after a few glasses of wine ;)
Here are a few of my favorite photos from their wedding!

Major blog backlog going on here! All you Pacific Northwesterners know how it is – We have to take advantage of the nice weather when it’s here, so I’ve been doing a ton of shooting and not much blogging. There is a LOT to be posted though! Here are a few shots from back in July of Katie and Kevin’s wedding at The Fairgate Inn in Camas, Washington.

These two were so adorable, I had a lot of fun shooting their engagement session a few weeks back – I think I told them how cute they were at least 200 times :) I’ll be shooting their wedding in Eugene next month, can’t wait!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted images! This is by far my busiest time of year, I’ve been super busy out shooting weddings and portraits. If you were hoping to have your senior photos done before the rainy weather sets in, contact me soon! August is completely booked, and I only have 3 sessions available in September.
Here are a few photos from Mary & Yamen’s adorable multi-cultural wedding at Willamette Valley Vineyards. Yamen read his vows in English, Mary read hers in Arabic, Mary’s uncle gave a Native American wedding blessing, and her sister’s Irish dance group performed at the reception. I’m sure I’m missing something else that was in there! :)

Congrats you two!!

I found out about this great article in Seattle Bride magazine this morning, and had to share. One of the most common things I hear when I tell people I’m a photographer is something along the lines of “Oh my sister got married last year and just had a friend take the photos… She regrets it, they didn’t turn out well.” And then maybe followed by something like “She should have hired you!” ;)
This article is written by an amateur photographer who explains the value in hiring a professional. She was asked to shoot a wedding alongside one, and saw the difference firsthand. Please pass this link along to any engaged friends who are considering just using “a friend with a nice camera” to photograph their wedding!

Thanks to Rebecca Knight, a fellow photographer out in Florida, for posting this on her twitter this morning! :)

One of my short-term goals is to get better about blogging regularly – But as I’m sitting here thinking about what the heck I want to post (i.e., do people really want to know that I had my first squeaky cheese experience this weekend and I’m still acting like a 5 year old over it?), I realized it’d be easier to figure out who’s reading first! Please take a sec to answer the following polls :)

Alright Janene, my wedding present to you is getting this post up quick – and with a ton of photos, no less! :)
Janene and Kaveh tied the knot this past Saturday at Abbey Road Farm outside of Portland. We had a bit of rain off and on, but it was a gorgeous day. Janene and Kaveh have been so great to work with, I’m so glad I was a part of their wedding!

This poor groomsman somehow got roped into maid-of-honor duties during photos :)

A Persian wedding tradition, where two hardened cones of sugar are rubbed together above the bride & groom:

Of course it started pouring as we were setting up this shot – There were a few people holding umbrellas over couples while I arranged them, they ran off and I literally fired off 3 shots and told them to run for it. What can you do, it’s Oregon!

Congratulations you two, thank you so much for having me!
Venue: Abbey Road Farm – Carlton, Oregon
Hair & Makeup: Nicole Wagner
Flowers: Bella Bloom Florals
DJ/Entertainment: Event Team Entertainment
Janene’s Hair Piece: Twigs & Honey
Huge thank you to my friend Kevin Meyers for shooting alongside me – Never a dull moment, especially when there are electric fences nearby ;)
