Major blog backlog going on here! All you Pacific Northwesterners know how it is – We have to take advantage of the nice weather when it’s here, so I’ve been doing a ton of shooting and not much blogging. There is a LOT to be posted though! Here are a few shots from back in July of Katie and Kevin’s wedding at The Fairgate Inn in Camas, Washington.

These two were so adorable, I had a lot of fun shooting their engagement session a few weeks back – I think I told them how cute they were at least 200 times :) I’ll be shooting their wedding in Eugene next month, can’t wait!

Janene + Kaveh, continued… – Portland Wedding Photographer

Alright Janene, my wedding present to you is getting this post up quick – and with a ton of photos, no less! :)

Janene and Kaveh tied the knot this past Saturday at Abbey Road Farm outside of Portland. We had a bit of rain off and on, but it was a gorgeous day. Janene and Kaveh have been so great to work with, I’m so glad I was a part of their wedding!

This poor groomsman somehow got roped into maid-of-honor duties during photos :)

A Persian wedding tradition, where two hardened cones of sugar are rubbed together above the bride & groom:Of course it started pouring as we were setting up this shot – There were a few people holding umbrellas over couples while I arranged them, they ran off and I literally fired off 3 shots and told them to run for it. What can you do, it’s Oregon!

Bend Trip!

Hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend! Thought I should post a few photos from my trip to Bend last week -

Friday we went hiking at Smith Rock – I’ve never been there before, but it was gorgeous! When we got to the top we could see a bunch of huge houses down below along the river, must be quite the place to live!

“Misery Ridge Trail” was pretty much exactly as it sounds. Well, maybe that’s because I spend more time editing photos behind a computer than I do hiking…
My friend, the rattlesnake… This guy was hanging out on a rock waist-level as we were walking by, and we heard him before we saw him. Not a fan of that experience! Of course this picture was taken from farther away (my legs wouldn’t stop shaking, so the further way the better, haha!), but when we first met he was about 2 feet away. Peter + Kelly – Portland Chinese Garden Engagement Session : Portland Wedding Photographer

Okay, I’ve been a big blog-slacker so here are a ton of photos of Peter and Kelly’s engagement session to try to make up for it!

We shot these last week at the Portland Classical Chinese Garden, and lucked out with a nice, dry day (rare lately!). I’ve known Peter since we worked on OSU’s student paper, The Daily Barometer, together back in 2003/2004. He’s now a professional photographer in Portland, check out his site at www.petercheephotography.com

Being hired by other photographers is both flattering and nerve-wracking… I was really nervous for a few days beforehand, but I think I managed alright! I may have to take a few anti-anxiety pills before their wedding in Hawaii this December though ;) Congrats you two!!
